Regional Syndication Specialist/Announcer
About the Role
We are looking for a “unicorn”! Are you able to deliver a fun, personality driven show and then put those skills to work to make our syndicated programming sound just as good? Are you able to use your expertise and your ear, to ensure flawless editing and production of various syndicated shows in our network of radio stations? Do you really believe that a great show is a great show, no matter where it comes from? We have great on-air talent at Corus that we syndicate to other markets and other shows that requires someone like you to make them shine. We are an inclusive, fun and progressive group of stations with an exciting opportunity for the right person to take on this unique position. Working mainly in Hamilton, reporting to the Toronto/Hamilton FM Program Director, and working closely with teams in multiple markets, the successful candidate’s key responsibilities will as an on-air talent and syndication specialist
Execute, live and voice tracked shows as an on air talent
Develop and execute a creative strategy that weaves syndicated programming into various stations.
Effectively coach voice talent.
Collaborate with programming and production teams to create exceptional programming.
Utilize exceptional editing and production skills
Prioritize and manage workload in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Collaborate effectively and work with various radio markets.
Required skills and qualifications:
Minimum 5 years on air experience, in various formats
Proficient user of audio editing software, Adobe Audition, Vox Pro etc
Ability to multi-task and complete assignments under tight deadlines; accuracy and attention to detail are critical
Ability to work unsupervised
Experience with the Mediatouch automation system, or similar
