Corus has an exciting contract opportunity in our Toronto office for a QA Analyst to join our team.You would be working closely with the rest of the agile team focusing on delivering high quality product, support and maintaining current mobile/ connected applications across all of our brands.
The ideal candidate will be joining a collaborative and fun scrum team tasked with the maintenance of our current Mobile/Connected TV properties and building for the future.
Responsibilities:
Mobile application, Connected TVs applications and Web application testing
Coaching and mentoring other team members
Regularly collaborating with team members of different disciplines across multiple scrum teams
Create, execute and/or maintain automated test scripts/suites
Provide testing estimates based on specifications and acceptance criteria
Ensure product defects are logged in defect tracking software
Merge and approve developer pull requests
Manage the deployment of new features into production
Comparing emerging technologies against business needs
What We Need From You:
Post secondary degree in Computer Science, Design, Multimedia or demonstrated industry hands-on experience
Strong portfolio with at least 3 yrs of experience in testing Mobile & Connected TV(like Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire &Stick) applications, Smart TV applications, client-server applications, and websites
Knowledge of Interactive/New Media technologies: Media Streaming (Audio / Video) tools and players, DRM
Expertise with the following technologies or tools: Selenium Web Driver (3.x) w/Java, Appium w/Java, JavaScript, TestNG framework, Maven build, XCUITest, Expresso, Android Studio
- Load testing tools like JMeter, Loader.io
- API testing tools: Mocha framework w/javascript, SoapUI
- Debugging tools like Charle’s Proxy, Wireshark
- Ability to stay detail-oriented in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent trouble shooting, analytical and problem solving skills
