Responsible for assisting Production Associates in efficiently building to meet demands by optimizing build sequence, providing parts and maintaining high 6S standards.  Works with Production Supervisor and other Material Handlers to get production demand met though all departments.




  • Organize the build sequence to efficiently meet the plan.  This includes reviewing jobs in Shop Floor and assigning them to the correct line and/or reviewing MS requirements creating Shop Floor pick tickets and assigning them to the lines.
  • Eliminate assemblers from moving away from the line as much as possible.  This includes filling all components necessary for proper build such as elements, cases, bushings, motors, covers, heat boxes, stats, wires, boxes, labels, fasteners, etc. and removal of finished parts from area. 
  • Keep cage/storage racks and areas clean and organized following 6S standards.
  • Remove finished goods from assembly area and leave in drop zones.
  • Assist with accurate recording of information, receipt of product and inventory; Assist in proper activation/closing of Shop Floor tickets on the line.
  • Insure that ALL parts, scrap, baskets, carts, and skids are always in their proper location. Work with Supervisor/Manager to create additional locations as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.




Forklift Certification (or ability to be certified) is required. Lean Certification preferred.

Essential functions of the job are constantly (100%) performed while standing for extended periods of time. Frequently (95%) be required to walk, talk, sit, hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel. Constantly (100%) requires the use of both hands to handle products according to standard work instructions (SWI) and bill of materials. Frequently (65%) requires to reach to the floor, forward at waist level and overhead levels. Specific vision requirements required by this job included close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Constantly (85%) requires to reach above shoulder height, below the waist, or lift as needed to move materials of up to 20 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds; and may have to assist a lift of 100 pounds on a rare occasion. All work is performed in a manufacturing environment, which requires using personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, hard hat, and mandatory hearing protection.
