As an engineer focused on quality, this role will be responsible for quality, compliance, and ECN facilitation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

§Maintain quality reports; analyze for trends and solve as necessary.

§Solve quality issues; Establish processes to improve quality.

§Track variation within critical processes and work to reduce as necessary.

Maintain supplier quality including performing audits.
Manage vendor quality including certificate of analysis and/or SPC data where applicable.
Work with agency auditors during inspections; provide requested items/documents.

§Audit internal process to ensure agency compliance.Coordinate calibrations as required.

§Audit finished goods to ensure proper materials are used and processes are followed.

§Support agency file updates to ensure compliance.

§Review product returns and document/root cause quality issues.

§Support manufacturing operations as quality issues and/or questions arise.

§Facilitate Engineering Change process that arise as a result of agency, manufacturing and/or marketing/sales reasons.

§Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools and methodology to reduce waste, streamline processes, and improve manufacturing processes; Ensure “built in quality” throughout all processes.

§Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing and customer service.


§Ability to manage competing priorities

§Demonstrated skills in project management and analytical problem solving

§Business acumen

§Strong verbal and written communication skills

§Thorough understanding of statistical analysis and the value of data in making informed business decisions

§Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex or under-defined problems


§Bachelor's (B.S.) of engineering from a four-year college or university

§3+ years of progressive experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment

§Drafting experience with Solid Works and using vault storage system preferred

§UL/ETL agency experience preferred

§Knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing methodology

§Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook
