Immigrant Services Calgary is looking for a full-time Business Operations & Account Executive to ensure the delivery of qualified Translation/Interpretation services for customers as well as agency partners.
The Translation/Interpretation Business Operations & Account Executive will assist the Language Bank Business Development Manager with overall administration and coordination of large and small projects.
In this role you will collaborate with in-house and external project personnel to deliver overall project performance including scope, schedule, costs, quality, and client satisfaction.


• Responsible for managing Translation & Interpretation Services
• Process Translation/Interpretation intakes for individual clients and community agencies
• Match Translators to Translation projects in a timely manner
• Match Interpreters to Interpreters projects in a timely manner
• Monitor the progress of Translation/Interpretation projects
• Provide ongoing support and feedback to Translators/Interpreters
• Manage individual and corporate relationships
• Edit, proofread Translated documents
• Manage specialized translation tools 
• Maintain accurate and updated records of data and statistics concerning Translation/Interpretation services
• Perform Translations and Interpretations when required
• Provide a high level of customer service
• Work and communicate effectively with team members, clients, subcontractors, and the public
• Coordinate, motivate and facilitate the completion of the projects with clients and project personnel, ensuring all documentation is recorded, invoices are settled, and all relevant project data is effectively stored
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

 Qualifications & Assets
• Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or related discipline
• Competent with Project Management & CRM tools to plan, track and coordinate projects considered an asset
• High level of customer service & sales oriented
• Strong computer skills, particularly in document formatting
• Competent with new software and computer applications
• Adept capability within Gmail, Google Drive, Google Documents, MS Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience with Translation tools or relevant software
• Ability to work with many different file formats i.e. PDF, JPEG, AI, DOC, etc.
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• File management and record keeping
• Professional phone and email etiquette
• Translation certification or a second/third language
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• Methodical by nature; works independently
• Innovative thinking and multi-tasking skills
• Experience working with translators is an asset
• Cultural sensitivity
• Self-starter and team player
• Available to work evenings and weekends when needed
