Immigrant Services Calgary seeks to hire a full time Accounting Manager, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who will be responsible for supervising payroll, overseeing program financial management, and supporting the day to day operations of the CFO.

We expect you to be a pro-active problem solver and an efficient leader, with an interest in growing into the CFO role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Payroll
 Supervise payroll
 HR side of payroll processing including, but not limited to: payroll requisitions, work assignment changes, salary changes, creating new shift definitions and rotations, and scheduling
- Program Financial Management
 Supervise accounting team
 Review and approve accounts payable coding, internal monthly program financial statements and ad hoc external funder reporting
- Supporting CFO
 Assist in financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning
 Donation stewardship and tax receipting
- Other duties as assigned by the CFO


- Related post-secondary education
- A minimum of 5 years management experience
- In progress or interest in the Chartered Professional Accountant designation
- An equivalent combination of education and experience with a focus on for-profit and non-profit accounting will also be considered
- Dynamics 365 Business Central experience preferred
- Ceridian Dayforce experience preferred
- CiviCRM experience an asset
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative and results-oriented environment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
