The National Sales Director is responsible for leading all nationwide sales efforts through creativity and development of sales aimed toward overall business growth. (S)he will guide a team of national sales force and expected to facilitate sales channels from opportunity identification to order fulfillment, in addition to achieving monthly sales targets. Additionally, this person will work to lead their team to increase sales within existing accounts while maintaining emphasis on customer service and developing relationships with key stakeholders and human resources. This role will require consistency to maintain clear performance standards, handling of issues effectively and providing your team with sound guidance.

 

In parallel, the National Sales Director will work to develop and execute a strategic and comprehensive business plan for their region.  The focus will be to facilitate positive relationships with direct reports and coach them to meet and surpass business standards.  The National Sales Director will take full responsibility for accurate forecasting, regular quarterly revenue delivery and spend significant time with their team in the field visiting existing customers and building relationships.

 

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies

  • Leading nationwide sales team members to achieve and surpass monthly sales targets

  • Establishing fruitful and professional relationships with key resources in assigned customer accounts

  • Negotiating and closing transactions with customers

  • Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics while suggesting improvements for future quality of service

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts

  • Performing research and identifying new customer base and market opportunities

  • Providing timely and effective solutions aligned with each clients’ needs

  • Acting as main liaison person between Head Office (Montreal) and the Australia team

  • Staying up to date with new product launches and relaying this information to sales team and agents

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a National Sales Manager (minimum 5 years’ experience managing a high-performance sales team)

  • BSc in Sales, Business Administration or related field

  • Excellent communication, leadership and management skills (team building, empowerment, decision making etc.)

  • Willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and help your team as required

  • Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics

  • Strong customer service aptitude coupled with excellent negotiation skills

  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
    Availability to travel (as needed) valid passport and driving license required
