About the Role

We’re looking for a Market/Consumer Insights Specialist to join our team. As Market/Consumer Insights Specialist, you will be researching consumer trends, our market and other comparable markets to gather insights into our unique and emerging industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your analytical skills, your natural curiosity, and your experience in market research. You will perform detailed data analysis to accurately interpret data from multiple sources, drawing insights, identifying trends, and assist in the development of actionable business recommendations. 

About Your Day

  • Research the cannabis industry to develop an in-depth understanding of the customer and market and be able to provide insights, best practices and recommendations for future strategies. 
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of consumer segmentation, trends and journey analyses and reporting 
  • Analyze data from multiple sources, such as sales trends, consumer research and external market reports and perform detailed analyses to accurately interpret information and draw conclusions / insights 
  • Research competitors and best-in class retailers to identify new areas of opportunity and emerging trends. 
  • Work with multiple business units to develop concise and actionable business recommendations, including development of business and customer performance KPIs and methodologies for measurement 
  • Prepare presentation materials for senior management based on analysis findings 
  • Collaborate closely with data experts to build and extract appropriate and accurate data sets to support analyses 
  • Support projects with financial and business optimization modeling when necessary


About You

  • Completion of Post-Secondary education in Business, Commerce, or related areas OR equivalent combination of experience and post-secondary education
  • 3-5 years of professional experience performing research and developing insights to inform business decisions. 
  • Experience with the following technologies would be a strong asset: Tableau or Power BI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
