OVERVIEW

The Director of Casino Marketing will be responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of the overall operations and staff of the department including database, advertising, promotions, and entertainment.  This position requires a background in casino marketing and public relations as well as exemplifying outstanding leadership, business development and management skills.  The Casino Marketing Director will lead a team in which he/she personifies Parq Vancouver’s culture, values and management philosophy. They possess strong analytical abilities with innovative ideas and solutions.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Work collectively with BCLC to enhance revenue growth opportunities and marketing awareness
•    Grow overall Slot and Table Game revenue
•    Creates, develops and implements an effective strategy to provide marketing for the casino property; includes planning, organizing, communicating and implementation of all advertising and marketing programs with an emphasis on print, radio, direct response media, in-house collateral, website and social media
•    Develops and implements short and long term marketing operating and capital budgets in order to meet the marketing services and support requirements of the Company
•    Develops all special events and promotions to support the casino business operations
•    Provide direction to individuals directly reporting to this position in accordance with the organizational chart of the company
•    Directs associates to support marketing program development for new customer acquisition and guest retention
•    Create a competitive advantage through the design, development and implementation of marketing programs
•    Work closely with operations to coordinate new programs that promote maximum growth opportunities
•    Manage effective controls over all casino marketing results and adhere to approved budgets
•    Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategies to meet the changing market competitive conditions
•    Set short and long term programs that will set Parq Vancouver apart from the competition and maintain the brand and reputation to the highest level in the industry
•    Expertise in the development and maintenance of the company’s systems and loyalty programs/player programs
•    Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, media, key community and strategic partners
•    Establish, maintain, and work cohesively with Resort Marketing team to adhere to Parq Vancouver brand standards
•    Determine agencies and suppliers of record and negotiate contract terms, conditions for major services and make recommendations to the President/CEO
•    Responsible for overseeing implementation mechanisms to monitor progress; implement processes for the department and oversee the development of team performances

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•    Minimum 7 years of management experience in a Casino Marketing role
•    Post-secondary degree in communications, marketing or public relations
•    Strong knowledge of database marketing
•    Strong understanding of business planning (ie. Budgeting, forecasting and long range planning)
•    Know how to analyze and interpret P & L statements
•    Ability to work on numerous projects at one time, prioritize tasks and manage time wisely
•    Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills
•    Ability to manage conflicting priorities
•    Strong computer knowledge – Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
•    Event planning/execution experience an asset

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS
•    Ability to obtain a valid GPEB License
•    Ability to complete all BCLC Certifications
•    Serving it Right Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•   Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs
•   Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours
